Janis Joplin
A black and white mugshot of Janis Joplin, who was arrested for disorderly conduct by the Tampa, Florida Police Department after "badmouthing" an officer. The single picture contains three images; a full-body shot of Joplin wearing a dark dress, standing underneath a clock and calendar (November 17) with her prisoner number next to her (151592), and two images of her head; profile and forward facing. A judge ruled that Joplin's words were protected as free speech and the charges against her were dropped. On verso of card is written "Janis Joplin." - 5x4in.
