Lot Essay

Between 19 and 24 of September 1967, the Beatles continued filming The Magical Mystery Tour at West Malling Air Station in Kent. The vendor of this lot was a service wife living at West Malling at the time, and her two sons (pictured in the accompanying photograph) were extras in the 'Marathon' and 'Tug Of War' scenes. The signatures were acquired between takes and were written on separate pages of the vendor's shopping pad.
