THIRD QUARTER 18TH CENTURY, PROBABLY BOLOGNA OR EMILIA
Each with a concave-fronted shaped rectangular marble top with canted angles, one veneered in alabaster within a verde antico marble border, the other veneered in alabastro fiorito within a verde antico border, each with a moulded Breccia Medici marble edge, above a frieze drawer decorated with relief-carved foliate sprays and flower heads, with canted angles headed by Medusa's masks, above two panelled drawers, and a shaped apron carved with foliate scrolls and centred by a shell, the sides conformingly-carved, on cabriole legs carved with piastres, restorations to the marble tops, previously but probably not originally with handles, minor losses to the carved decoration
