Her Suyoung graduated from Seoul National University in 1999 and was a lecturer at Won Kwang University. He had one-person exhibitions at the Seoul Arts Center and the Picasso Gallery, Busan, in 2005.
He lives and works in China and is one of few young Korean artists still working in the classic medium of ink and paper. Many of Her's drawings and prints have the title My Cob, a play on "cob," a thick-set horse, and the bicycle, the artist's equivalent steed.
