A French 3¾-inch terrestrial globe

The cartouche DELAMARCHE Paris Rue Serpente 25, 1863, made up of twelve coloured engraved gores and two polar calottes, graduated equatorial labelled by 15° and by hours, graduated ecliptic labelled by 10° and symbol of the Zodiac, tropics and polar circles marked and labelled, graduated meridian through Paris, Australia named, Tasmania as an Island named L. de Diémen, parts of the Antarctic shown and labelled including Volcan en activité 4000 Mètres (some damages and loss, including repair 8cmx1cm), on a modern brass stand with open book and telescope decorations. Sold not subject to return.
