A Satsuma Miniature Robe Chest, Signed Kinkozan, Meiji Period (1868-1912)
decorated in typical enamels and gilt, the cover with a Temple and officials, the box with an elaborate procession and palanquin, each painting framed in imitation lacquer, two short sides in imitation iroe hanabishi lacquer, and the four feet simulating roiro and gold hiramakie and kanagu, the interior of the cover and the base of the chest with sumi painting of a landscape, signed to the base Kinkozan within a square reserve and Fuzan -- 3½ x 4 7/8in. (9 x 12.5cm.)
