each decorated in gilt and various enamels, the first depicting a garden scene with quail amidst chrysanthemum and wisteria, beneath a band of stylised lappets below the rim; the bowl with a variety of flowers to the centre, the reverse with purple and white wisteria, signed within a Shimazu mon -- 5½ and 2½in.
