A PAIR OF BLUE SCRAFFIATO GROUND MEDALLION BOWLS, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the exterior painted with four roundels decorated in famille rose enamels with flowering peony, lotus, chrysanthemum and prunus, surrounded by further flowerheads with stylised tendrils on an incised scrolling blue enamelled ground, the interior decorated in underglaze blue with a central depiction of pine and rockwork surrounded by a reflection of the flowering plants of the exterior roundels, underglaze blue Daoguang six-character marks to base -- 5 7/8in. (14.8cm.) diam. (2)
