A PALE CELADON JADE TONGUE AMULET IN THE FORM OF A CICADA, EASTERN HAN (25-220AD)
minor ares of artifically altering to jade, modelled almost flattened of sharp stylised design; an olive green jade eye amulet, areas altered to a greyish white, of pointed oval form with two slender drill holes to the outer edges, Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD); a deep green and russet jade amulet in the form of a recumbent stylised pig, with scrolling haunches and diamond shaped eyes above a flat nose, the small loop tail with bore hole to the centre, possibly Eastern Han (25-220AD), wood stand; and two leaping fish pendants, comprising of a deep greenish brown transluscent jade with areas of ivory white alteration, the curved fish with shaped twin tail and large incised eye and fins, a delicate bore hole near the mouth; the other of an opaque pale brown jade, of similar form to the above, both Shang/Western Zhou Dynasty (1600-771BC); and a greyish celadon jade bead in the form of a man, heavy artifical white alteration to surface, the robed figure with the outline of a hat, drill holes running from the tip of the head through to the tips of the sleeves -- The first 2 5/16in. (6cm.) high. (6)
