Lot Essay

Yongzheng bowls with this type of decoration are seen with two different bands around the rim: some have stylised flower heads and quatrefoil panels, while others have extended formal clouds as seen on the current example. Cf. a similar bowl sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 30 May 2005, lot 1505.
