A UNITED STATES OFFICER'S EAGLE POMMEL SABRE

With curved hollow-ground blade sharpened for use and etched and gilt with trophies and small motifs on a blued panel below the hilt on both sides, brass hilt cast in relief, including panels of classical trophies-of-war and anthemion langets, retaining its original grip, and in its original brass scabbard, the outer face engraved and cast with further trophies in relief on three raised panels (the blade with scattered light surface rust, the grip binding loose)
