The arched case with ormolu vase finial flanked below by floral vase finials, with small glazed side panels above ormolu foliate cast decorative handles, inlaid to the front with coloured lacquer and mother-of-pearl, with fully ebonised rear and interior, above breakfront plinth raised on four ormolu toupie feet, the ormolu dial with individual white enamel Roman cartouche chapters, blued steel hands, signed on the lower plate 'LEROY ET FILS PARIS', the eight day twin barrels movement with rectangular plates, anchor escapement with Brocot regulation and strike on gong to rear door; triple rod pendulum, winding key, later stand
