The rectangular top with beribboned edge on a punched ground, above a pierced fretwork frieze, the apron centred by a shell, on lappeted blind fretwork square legs

Lot Essay

This mahogany side table is typical of the furniture produced by the Dublin furniture firm of Michael Butler, based at Liffey Street (1877-1884) and then at a warehouse on Upper Abbey Street (1886-1903).
