FOUR JADE CURVED PENDANTS
SHANG/ZHOU DYNASTY, 11TH-4TH CENTURY BC
One opaque and of tan color, carved on one side as a bottle-horn dragon, the horn carved in thread relief, with notched edges; one a small thick huang of altered grey-green color, carved on both sides with addorsed dragons, with notched lower edge and biconically pierced at either end; the largest a huang of pale greenish-white color with areas of opaque buff alteration, carved in low relief on both sides with comma spirals, with notched edges, the small central hole with a raised border on one side; the fourth of semi-translucent grey-green stone with darker mottling, of tapering form and carved on both sides with a dragon head at one end, a narrow striated band and a pattern of abstract scrolls
