Of rectangular form, deeply carved with a band of elegant naskh with elongated upstrokes, below a minor band of floriated kufic, a plain band above and below, minor losses

Lot Essay

The inscription in kufic reads repeatedly al-mulk li'llah (Sovereignty is God's). The line in naskh is part of a prayer.
