INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
With bulbous body rising from slightly splayed foot, with S-shape handle screwed to the body, the flaring mouth surmounted by a domed lid with later added gilt finial, octagonal section spout with floral terminal, screwed to the body through applied panel, the surface with gold damascened floral scroll decoration divided in three registers by rows of small four-petalled rosettes and silver vegetal motifs, the ground with tiny dotted chiselling, the lid with similar damascened decoration, small areas of corrosion
