A set of six Chinese famille rose armorial soup-plates for the English market
Circa 1765
Enamelled and gilt at the centre with a coat-of arms in gilt scrollwork intertwined with a floral garland, the rim painted with four iron-red demi-lions rampant holding a banner and emerging from a gilt mural coronet, alternating with flower sprays, all between gilt spearhead borders encircling the upper well and rim, minor restoration and small damages
