The present lot is an addition to the oeuvre of the artist, of whom nothing is known. An Adoration of the Magi, monogrammed and dated 1736, was offered at Sotheby's Amsterdam, 8 February 1988, lot 82, as L. Buissenck; a harbour scene, signed and dated 1729, was offered at Sotheby's-Mak van Waaij Amsterdam, 13 May 1980, lot 6.
