A SOAPSTONE CARVING OF A LOHAN, INCISED YU XUAN MARK, 17TH/18TH CENTURY
the seated figure wearing long robes with incised decoration to the hem with inset semi-precious stones, wearing a cowl over the prominent forehead and carrying a scroll in the right hand, the stone of a creamy tone with red inclusions, incised Yu Xuan mark to the reverse of the figure -- 3 1/8in. (8cm.) high.
