the bird flattened along the top of the slender edge of the large clam shell, the body of the shell in russet tones sympathetically using the natural coloured inclusions; and a deep celadon and russet carving of a mouse, 18th Century, the small animal lying recumbent, its head between its feet, the tail carved in relief -- 2 5/8in. (6.6cm.) wide max. (2)
