ATTRIBUTED TO THE PAINTER OF VATICAN M. 482, CIRCA 550-525 B.C.
Centered by two warriors in combat, that to the left in a corslet and a chiton, armed with a shield, spear and a crested Corinthian helmet, that to the right nude, armed with a shield, spear and high-crested Corinthian helmet, flanked by a draped onlooker and a nude youth on either side, each holding a spear; a band of alternating red and black tongues above, details in added red and white
