With tapering blade cut with three long narrow fullers, struck with small marks on the ricasso, and etched with foliage, scrollwork and a motto over the lower half on both sides, gilt-brass hilt profusely decorated with rococo ornament engraved and punched on a matted ground, and the grip retaining its original wire binding
