The following five lots are from a service of plate made for Baron Eugéne Fould and his wife Mitzi, only daughter and heiress of Baron Gustav Springer, an Austro-Hungarian industrial magnate. Other pieces from the service, from the estate of Baron Max Fould-Springer, were sold Christie's Paris, 11 March 2003.
