Arabic manuscript on paper, 44ff. plus 2 fly-leaves, each folio with 5ll. of gold muhaqqaq within blue borders, with gold and polychrome rosette verse markers, with marginal illuminated medallions, blank spaces left for sura headings, the opening bifolio with four illuminated cartouches framing the text panel, each with a line of white kufic on gold scrolls on blue ground, the text panels with 3ll. of gold muhaqqaq within clouds on red cross-hatched ground, within illuminated borders, the last 3 pages with 3ll. of text, in contemporary stamped and gilt binding, the doublures with remains of gold découpé cartouches on coloured grounds
