The ewer of tapering rounded form on flat foot, the waisted neck with central pronounced knop and s-shaped spout, scroll handle with hinge attaching separate domical lid with pine-cone finial, the body and lid engraved with foliate scrolling decoration, the basin of shallow form with everted rim, the shallow bowl with a series of vertical flutes, the cavetto similarly engraved with foliate scrolling design, the rim with a series of vertical bands, basin with a separate pierced inner cover with raised stand, the main panel with drop shaped motifs between the triangular cut sections, some fading of gilt
