The rectangular section pencase with rounded terminals, one hinged, each engraved with dense floral panels, the slightly barrel-shaped truncated rectangular inkwell with hinged cover with small turning latch, the base stamped with tughra and the leading edges engraved with floral rosettes issuing leaves, each element marked with the tughra of Selim III, engraved elements with faded gilding
