Cylindrical, the gilt body decorated with a cobalt-blue pattern simulating snake skin, one side painted en grisaille with a bust portrait of Grand Duke Pavel Petrovich I, facing left, inscribed 'PAUL.PETROVITZ. GR.DUC.DE.RUSS.', within a reserve with gilt ciselé border, the circular saucer with similarly decorated border and the centre painted en grisaille with a military trophy, marked under base with blue underglaze sceptres
