A PORCELAIN GROUP OF COLUMBINE AND PANTALONE
By the Popov Porcelain Factory, Moscow, first quarter 19th century
Realistically modelled, depicting Columbine in elaborate court dress, her puce bodice and white blouse adorned with pink ribbons, her skirt with a floral pattern and with a flowing cape, seated with a pug on her lap, a mask in her right hand, tweaking the beard of Pantalone who stand to her left, wearing a blue coat, on a naturalistic shaped base applied with colourful flowers, marked under base with incised, blue underglaze Cyrillic monogram 'AP'
