Lot Essay

With Cartier original fitted red presentation box.

The present watch was entered into the archives of Cartier Paris in 1928. Its designation "tranche couteau" refers to the ultra thin case, resembling a knife's edge. Consigned by a private collector, the watch is preserved in very good original overall condition.
