FIVE BRONZE DAGGERS, HAN DYNASTY AND LATER (206BC-221AD)
comprising of a pointed bevelled blade, the ovoid hilt with bold spiral bands that crisscross in imitation of wrapping, the hollow hilt with two sets of apertures through the side of the handle; the second with pointed bevelled blade, the flattened handle with stylised boars in relief to the centre of the handle bordered by rows of raised dots, the terminal end with small aperture; the third sword, with a wide integral sword guard, the terminal formed from two apertures surrounded by imitation rope designs; the fourth sword with long bevelled blade tapering to a point, with a long aperture in the centre of the handle, the sword guard with cross hatching, the finial with double aperture surrounded by circular indentations; and a dagger with tall blade of irregular form, the flattened handle indented to the centre, with a hollow five strand sphere to the terminal -- The First, 8¼in.
