A GROUP OF SIX BRONZE KNIVES, HAN DYNASTY AND LATER (206BC-220AD)
comprising a bronze knife with looped metal terminal, the blade sharpened to one edge and incised with a six-character inscription to one blade edge; the second knife with flattened blade and repeated stylised duck motif and loop ring terminal; the third knife with heavily curved blade, the flattened handle with bands of cross hatch designs, with loop ring terminal; the fourth knife with a heavily tapering blade, the flattened handle with horizontal bands to one side, the other with crossed lines forming rectangular box motifs, with loop ring terminal; the fifth knife is slender, the looped terminal with two birds heads on the pommel; the sixth knife with apertures all along the hilt of the flattened handle, loop ring terminal -- The first, 8 3/8in. (21.2cm.) high. (6)
