A GEORGE V SILVER MEDICINE SPOON AND AN AMERICAN SILVER MEDICINE SPOON
THE FIRST SHEFFIELD, 1932, THE SECOND MAKER'S MARK RB, LATE 19TH CENTURY
Each with bowls of differing size at each end, the second example centrally hinged and in a green leather case, the first engraved with initials below a Royal princess' coronet
6½ in. (16.5 cm.) long and smaller
3 oz. (95 gr.)
The initials are Princess Louise, Marchioness of Lorne, later Duchess of Argyll (1848-1939), fourth daughter of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) and wife of John, Marquess of Lorne, later 9th Duke of Argyll (1845-1914). (2)
