MARK OF GEORGE ADAMS, LONDON, 1873 AND 1875, THE PLATED EXAMPLES MAKER'S MARK MB
Beaded pattern, with steel blades, engraved with 'L' cypher below a marchioness' coronet and encircled by a Royal princess' coronet
The cypher is that of Princess Louise, Marchioness of Lorne, later Duchess of Argyll (1848-1939), fourth daughter of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) and wife of John, Marquess of Lorne, later 9th Duke of Argyll (1845-1914). (21)
