Painted with specimen exotic birds perched on trees and within wooded landscape vignettes and gilt oval and circular cartouches, the borders richly-gilt with panels of diaper ornament flanked by gilt scrolls and trailing oak branches from diamond-pattern panels, comprising:
An oviform teapot and cover (théière 'Calabre' et couvercle) (restored chip to tip of spout, cover cracked across and repaired and associated loss to flange)

A two-handled pierced lozenge-shaped tray (plateau losange 'à jour'), the border pierced with foliage within stave ornament (some minute chipping to edge of rim)
The tray 14¾ in. (37.5 cm.) wide (4)
Provenance
Most probably acquired by James, 2nd Marquess of Abercorn (1811-1885), later created 1st Duke of Abercorn in 1868, and thence by descent.
