A Bronze Figure of Avalokiteshvara
Tibet, 14th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rims, the principal hands in anjalimudra, the other two raised holding a beaded necklace and a lotus blossom, clad in a dhoti and an antelope skin, adorned with various jewelry, the wide face with silver inlaid eyes and copper lips, centered with a raised urna and surmounted by an elaborate tiara
