A gilt bronze figure of Amitayus
Mongolia, 18th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base, cradling the vase in his lap, raised chakras on the soles of the feet, wearing a flowing dhoti with beaded and finely incised hems, adorned with a necklace and large jeweled earrings, his face with heavy-lidded eyes below a raised brow and urna and painted in cold gold with remains of polychromy, the hair tied up and secured with a tall jeweled tiara
