Lot Essay

For a discussion of the 'Indian Ink Painter', see Sebastian Kuhn, 'Bayreuth Hausmaler?' in Meredith Chilton et al., Fired by Passion, Vienna Baroque Porcelain of Claudius Innocentius du Paquier (Stuttgart, 2009), Vol. I, pp. 543-544, where he illustrates other pieces and Vol. III, p. 1234, no. 68, where he lists other known examples.
