CIRCA 1730, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, DREHER'S TO FOOTRIM, THE DECORATION PROBABLY CIRCA 1745
Painted in Schwarzlot, probably in the Bayreuth workshop of J.F. Metzsch, with merchants resting on bails by a tent on a quayside, with boats nearby, within a circular gilt foliage cartouche, the border with pendant foliage scrolls and strapwork (rim with wear to gilding and two minute chips)
