BLAEU, Willem (1571-1638). Tooneel des Aerdrycx, oft nieuvwe Atlas ... derde deel. Amsterdam: Johannes Blaeu, 1650.
Part III only (of 3), 2° (533 x 347mm). Hand-coloured engraved title, 62 engraved maps, coloured in outline, of which 58 double-page, one full-page and 3 small maps in text. (Slight abrasion on title with loss of colour in 2 places, lower corner of title and following 4 leaves repaired, small hole in A2 [Nova Italiae delineato] and B1 [text], a few marginal repairs throughout including title, a few maps a little creased along inner gutter, occasional light mainly marginal thumb-soiling or browning, a little stronger in circa 6 maps, last few leaves with light marginal waterstaining). Contemporary panelled vellum gilt, large floral cornerpieces in inner panel, central oval floral decoration, gilt edges (rubbed and a little soiled, heavier on front cover, lacking ties).
Part three of Blaeu's Theatrum orbis terrarum in Dutch, issued without the appendix and with the variant imprint 'Blaev'. The atlas includes 58 maps of Italy and 4 of Greece. Van der Krogt 2:222.3M.
