Rectangular box transformed from a boîte-à-deux-tabacs, the cover later inset with an oval miniature on parchment of a gentleman in armour with periwig, with applied diamond-set bow and ribbon surmount and green-enamelled foliate border, the sides of the cover enamelled with translucent green reserves between polished gold bands, the sides and base similarly enamelled with translucent green panels framing medallions enamelled over engraved Trophies of Music, the side medallions enamelled in yellow-green
