Lot Essay

Accompanied by an undated Martin Braun International Guarantee, Certificate, wooden presentation box, leather envelope, tie tag, setting pin, product literature, pencil, polish cloth and outer packaging.

The exceptional astronomical watches manufactured by Martin Braun reflects his love for nature and interest in astronomy. The Selene model is named for the goddess of the moon. With its Nambian meteorite dial and photorealistic phases of the moon, Braun brings a more naturalistic view of the moon to complicated timepieces. The moon phases is set using a corrector at the 8 o'clock and the mechanism is refined so not to be incremental, however a smooth sweep. This allows for more precision setting of the phases of the moon.
