CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, MARQUE A QUATRE CARACTERES ET EPOQUE QIANLONG (1736-1795)
De forme quadrangulaire, composés de trois sections séparées par des frises de grecques, le col et le pied évasés et ornés de feuilles et rinceaux feuillagés de lotus, le dessous de la lèvre agrémenté d'une guirlande de ruyi, la partie centrale bombée décorée sur chaque face d'une chauve-souris tenant une pierre sonore, entourée de volutes fleuries, la base émaillée blanc et portant la marque à quatre caractères de l'Empereur Qianlong en rouge dans un cachet ; quelques éclats et petites restaurations

Lot Essay

The inspiration for both shape and decoration comes from ancient bronzes of the Shang and Zhou dynasties and is part of the fashion for archaism in the Qianlong reign.
