With pointed ears, his chubby face with snub nose and furrowed brow, his mouth agape revealing teeth, thick unruly hair framing his face in waves, on a later marble socle
8 in. (21.5 cm.) high, without socle
Provenance
Probably acquired by John Spencer, later 1st Earl Spencer (1734-83) during his Grand Tour in the 1760s for Spencer House, London or Althorp, Northamptonshire and thence by descent.
