Square filigree book-cover with hinged fastener, all over decorated with spiralling foliage between silver foliate tracery, the interior fitted with the London Almanack [sic] for 1812

Provenance
According to the 7th Earl's inventory, the gift of Mrs. Fitzherbert (1756-1837) to the child of her adopted daughter, Lady Blanche Haygarth. She gave it to Charles Robert, 6th Earl Spencer (1857-1922) in 1913.
