THREE SMALL OPAQUE JADE FISH-FORM PENDANTS
LATE SHANG/EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, CIRCA 1200-1100 BC
All thick and mostly opaque from alteration: one of curved profile, carved with diagonal grooves on the convex side, dorsal and pelvic fins, and beveled bifurcated tail; one with notched dorsal and pelvic fins and designs carved in double lines on both sides, a biconical hole drilled through the mouth beside a projecting tab; the third tapering towards the bottom edge, with dorsal and pelvic fins, a biconical hole through the head, and beveled end to the tail
