Meiji period (Late 19th century), Signed Kaizan sei
With a foliate rim, short foot ring and gently rising sides, decorated in colored enamels and gilt to the interior and exterior, the well with a large central roundel with an outdoor scene of people at a temple and surrounded by twenty fluted panels with further landscapes of birds and geometric patterns, the exterior with decorative ribbons and a gilt band around the foot; signature in gilt on base
