COLT, LONDON, SERIAL NO. 23653/. FOR CIRCA 1855
With octagonal sighted barrel with one line 'ADDRESS. COL: COLT. LONDON', frame with hand engraved 'COLTS PATENT', iron grip-strap and trigger-guard, the former with traces of engraved inscription, figured walnut one-piece grips, matching numbers throughout, the principle numbers each with a dot, and traces of original nickel-plated finish throughout, the muzzle, barrel-lug, frame, grip-strap, trigger-guard and loading-lever each with scroll engraving, London proof marks, in a fitted oak case, the lid with reproduction directions for loading and cleaning
