With blued octagonal sighted barrel with one line 'ADDRESS. COL: COLT. LONDON', blued cylinder with naval engagement scene, case-hardened frame with hand engraved 'COLTS PATENT', silvered grip-strap and trigger-guard, the former engraved 'CECIL J. BEECHING', varnished figured one-piece burr walnut grips, case-hardened hammer and loading-lever, matching numbers throughout, the principle numbers with a dot, and nearly all its original finish, the barrel, frame, hammer, grip-strap, trigger-guard and loading-lever decorated with London scroll engraving, London proof marks, in fitted London Agency oak case lined in green baize with some accessories including Dixon pistol-flask and iron Colts Patent bullet-mould retaining much original finish, the lid with 14 Pall Mall illustrated directions label, the exterior with circular brass escutcheon
