SIGNED HARCOURT, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With slightly swamped octagonal sighted barrel engraved with a band of foliage at the breech, foliate engraved tang also incorporating the rear-sight, border engraved flat bevelled lock signed 'HARCOURT' and with stepped tail and roller, walnut full stock with flat-sided butt, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, silver shield-shaped escutcheon engraved with initials, and later horn-tipped ramrod with worm, private Birmingham proof marks
