A GREEK ROCK CRYSTAL AND GOLD AMPHORISKOS
HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA 3RD-2ND CENTURY B.C.
The thin-walled body of elongated form, sloping gently to the pointed base, with tall cylindrical neck and carinated rim, with elegant twin scrolling handles at shoulder and neck, gold chains with banded collars attached to both handles, another similar chain attached to the domed gold stopper, all attached to a gold suspension loop with twisted wire terminals
Amphoriskos 3¼ in. (8.2 cm.) high
